Glimpse is a Touchpad App designed to maximize your productivity by allowing you to perform multiple tasks simultaenously, using a unique (customizable) split-screen interface.
The App comes pre-loaded with some core mini-apps (also called widgets) which you can run on any of the split screens. Simply click the 'Widget Selector' at the bottom of each screen, to switch widgets
Widgets are light-weight (mini) Apps that are designed to take advantage of each split screen. They are designed to be fast and easy.
The App comes pre-loaded with some stardard widgets, but more widgets can be added through App updates or by clicking 'Get More Widgets' in the App Menu (tapping upper left corner of your screen).
Below are some of the widgets avaiable
Built-in Calculator. If the calculator is loaded in the smaller windows, it's a basic calculator. But if loaded in the larger right-hand window, it's a more advanced calculator
A simple calendar for easily creating appointments
Display Local and International time in Digital or Analog formats.
Easily convert between units (length, volume, mass, area)
View your subscribed feeds from your Google Reader Account. Share, Mark as Read, Mark as Unread and Star/Unstar. You can also toggle the left button to show only unread feeds
Instead of waiting idle for the 5-10 secs it takes to load a webpage, you could kill time by 'doodling'..
The Notepad widget is handy for taking quick notes. So for example, you could be taking notes while watching a Lecture series video on Youtube, without switching back-and-forth.

Notes are stored within the App, and are easily shareable via email or twitter, using the easy access buttons.
The Notepad widget is designed to store your note in the specific window you took it. For example, if you type some text in the right-hand window, your note only persists in that window
View articles from your Read It Later Account. You can also add new articles by tapping the '+' button or selecting 'Read It Later' from the popup options in the Web Widget, Twitter Widget and RSS widget


You can create shortcuts for quickly launching your favorite Apps with one tap.

To Create an App shortcut, you need to know the "App ID" of the App. The easiest way to find this out is by searching for the App in the App catalog, tapping the share button, and selecting "Via MMS". An MMS message will be generated with the App's id. It's usually in the form: "com.companyName.appName"
A simple viewer for Stock Prices. Just Add the Symbol (e.g. HPQ). You can also swipe a row to delete. Click row to expand to view more details. You can also setup the refresh frequency from the Prefs

View, read and share your favorite RSS/News feed. The RSS widget also has a built in media player for playing podcasts. You can edit/delete the default feeds, and add your own custom feeds (you have to know the url). To Add a new feed, tap the selector arrow, and go to 'Edit Feed'


You can also set the frequency at which your news feeds get refreshed from the 'Preferences' in the App Menu

The twitter widget comes with the basic features like viewing your tweets, mentions, direct messages, replying to messages, retweeting, sending direct messages, uploading pictures, searching, viewing profiles, Multiple Accounts, and Notifications (which can be customized in the Preferences in the App Menu)


You can also easily tweet using 'Just Type' by adding a "tweet/" prefix. For example, to tweet "Hello world", in the 'Just Type' area, type: "tweet/Hello world", and tap the Glimpse icon to tweet
A basic 5-day weather forecast widget at your finger-tips. Just enter your city or zip-code, and hit 'enter'. You can also choose between Celsius or Fahrenheit
A built-in web browser for viewing your favorite websites. You can also add bookmarks, share links via twitter or email and view flash webpages.
You can also easily launch a webpage using 'Just Type' by adding a "web/" prefix. For example, to go to google.com, in the 'Just Type' area, type: "web/google.com", and tap the Glimpse icon to launch you straight into the specified site
View Youtube videos by searching or choosing from Recent, Popular or Most-Viewed Videos.

You can also easily search for a video using 'Just Type' by adding a "youtube/" prefix. For example, to search for "Keyboard Cat" in the 'Just Type' area, type: "youtube/Keyboard Cat", and tap the Glimpse icon to launch you straight to the search Results
Peform quick actions using "Just Type".

By default, you have 3 window views fro your widgets. But you can Toggle off any of the views by going to the App Menu (tapping upper left corner of your screen), selecting 'Views'

You can also go to the Preferences in the App Menu, can toggle on/off certain widgets
This App contains some 'bonus/hidden features' (with more to be added periodically). One of such is a special widget 'Pix'
Easily search for pictures from popular web services like Google, Bing, Flickr, Picasa, Photobucket. Save, Share or set as Wallpapers
Note: For this widget to appear on your widget list, you need to have the separate Pix App installed
If you have Advanced Browser by MakleSoft installed, you will be able to run Advanced Browser as a widget in Glimpse. Advanced Browser extends the native browsing experience by giving cool features like Tabbed Browsing, Autofill and Searching Webpages. Note, if it doesn't show up on your widget list, it's probably toggled off in the Preferences.
